This is a note written seventy years
ago by my grandmother. It was
written to my mom, who was six
years old, and to my aunt Ginnie.
These were her last words, as she
died hours later, after giving birth
to her sixth child. I treasure
this note. It makes me feel
connected to Grandma.
WrittenWord
This is Nathan - my grandpa. Even though this is an old photograph, it's the way I remember him. This is how he always stood, held his head (a little tilt to it), and the way his arms hung at his side. Maybe the Army ingrained that in him - and it stuck. You've heard of people who are afraid to have their photo taken - that it steals their soul. I don't believe that, but there is indeed something special about a photograph. Maybe it captures the essence of what a person is.

Ah, video! Now this is what
Log Cabin Studios is about. Written
Word, photographs, and video are all important. Capturing the moment
and creating a legacy on film that
will let your loved ones always feel connected to you - now and beyond your lifetime - this is what we do best, because we do our job with passion. We have a heart for this work and the tools to turn moments into something you can bring to life again with the simple act of
watching it. Is there something about your life that needs retelling in this way?
